Russia, in its statement, welcomes the fragile ceasefire in Gaza and expresses hope that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran will hold. Russia highlights progress made by the Conference so far, including the adoption of a political declaration, procedural rules, and creating a working committee, while emphasising consensus-based decision-making as key to future success. The statement notes that the main obstacle remains Israel’s non-participation, which Russia views as self-isolation and disregard for dialogue. Russia submitted a working paper on dispute resolution and cooperation mechanisms, drawing on lessons learned from the JCPoA experience. English version available here.
