Statement by Djibouti at the Sixth Session of the Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and Other WMD

Djibouti highlights the growing global nuclear risks in its statement and regrets the failure of recent NPT review conferences, calling for consensus at the next review conference in 2026. It welcomes progress made in previous sessions and supports the three themes of the current session. Djibouti firmly rejects any threat to use nuclear or other WMD, warning that such threats undermine trust and international security.
Djibouti calls on Israel, the only regional State absent from the dialogue, to join the conference.
