Statement by Iran at the Conference on Disarmament Plenary meeting on the situation in Latin America and the Caribbean

The statement notes Iran’s position that the only credible guarantee against the use of such weapons is their complete, verifiable, and irreversible elimination. Pending the achievement of this objective, the provision of unconditional and legally binding assurances of non-use and non-threat of use of nuclear weapons against non-nuclear-weapon States remains an absolute necessity.
