Statement by Israel at the 74th session of the General Assembly on all disarmament and international security agenda items

The statement highlights several concerns and threats in the Middle East including the violation of NPT commitments by Iran which seen linked to its Nuclear Military ambitions. Other threats highlighted by the statement include Syria’s use of chemical weapons and Iran’s missile program. The statement also outlines Israel’s position on cybersecurity and the TPNW. It also expresses Israel’s dissatisfaction with the initiative by the Arab Group for the conference on the Middle East WMDFZ which neglects Israel’s security concerns, lacks efforts to build trust and confidence in the region, and the absence of a consensus spirit and consent of all countries in the region for this initiative.
