Statement by Egypt on Peaceful Uses at the 4th Session of the Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and other WMD

The statement reaffirms the alienable right to peaceful uses and calls against any impediments to this right. The statement criticizes states imposing such unjustified and illegal restrictions while maintaining cooperation with states not a party to the NPT and the IAEA safeguards. Egypt views the establishment of the zone as improving trust and confidence and advancing regional cooperation.
