League of Arab States Council Meeting Resolution 7748 on Standing Agenda Item "Establishment of Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and other WMD in the Middle East."

The resolution states the position of Arab States on the modalities of the postponed 2012 conference emanate from mandate of 2010 NPT RevCon final document. It also expands the Senior Official Committee (SOC) mandate to include establishing a common Arab position; continuing to prepare for the postponed 2012 conference as the only mandated negotiating authority; meet twice a year to submit recommendations to the Arab summits; emphasise the need for high-level participation by Arab state in related meetings; to include experts and military officials in their delegations to help enrich the negotiations and rename the SOC to "SOC on nuclear weapons and other WMD issues" and dissolve any bodies.
