Working paper by the NPDI on establishing a Middle East WMD Free Zone

Submitted by the members of the Non-proliferation and Disarmament Initiative (NPDI) at the 2014 NPT PrepCom, this joint working paper outlines the NPDI's perspective on the creation of a Middle East Zone Free of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and on steps to be taken in support of implementation of the 1995 Resolution on the Middle East. The members of the initiative are Australia, Canada, Chile, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Poland, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates
