Egyptian FM Fahmy initiative to address the WMD threats in the region

In his speech at the UN General Assembly, Minister Nabil Fahmy urged all countries in the Middle East, as well as the five permanent members of the Security Council to formally state their support for a ME WMDFZ; for all the states of the region to accede to the WMD international conventions and to work towards holding the postponed 2012 ME WMDFZ conference by the Spring of 2014.
