The Committee for the Denuclearization of the Middle East, a group of Israeli intellectuals called for the denuclearization of the Middle East. In a press conference they issued a statement that nuclear weapon proliferation “constitutes a danger to Israel and to peace in the Middle East” and urges UN intervention “to prevent military nuclear production”.
