Second session of the Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and Other WMD is postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic

With continuing restrictions on travel and gatherings, the conference decided to postpone its second session, originally planned for 16-20 November 2020, to be held at a later date, but no later than November 2021. The decision emphasized that the postponement “is taken on an exceptional basis and does not set a precedent either for the dates of future annual sessions or for the presidency of the Conference.”
