Second session of the Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and Other WMD is held in New York

The Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and Other WMD held its second session. Ahead of the conference Egypt, the Russian Federation and the Syrian Arab Republic provided working papers; in addition, the OPCW prepared a background document. Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi of Kuwait presided over the conference, which adopt a Report, a Decision on the Establishment of a Working Committee and the Rules of Procedure.
