League of Arab States Ministerial Council adopts SOC action plan for the implementation of 1995 Resolution on the Middle East

In its resolution 8251, the Council adopted an action plan that included, inter alia, steps to mobilize the Arab efforts at the 2018 NPT PrepCom and 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, as well as other actions to be taken at the 62nd IAEA General Conference. Although the resolution does not make explicit mention of what action the Arab Group intends to take, it does include a reference to “prospects of mobilization in the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly for the implementation of the 1995 Resolution on the Middle East” as per the recommendation of the Arab Senior Officials Committee. The Arab Group introduced a new decision at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.
