Paris Summit for the Mediterranean issues a joint declaration supporting the establishment of a mutually and effectively verifiable ME WMDFZ
In their joint declaration, the parties at the Paris summit for the Mediterranean decided to pursue a mutually and effectively verifiable Middle East Zone free of weapons of mass destruction, nuclear, chemical and biological, and their delivery systems. The summit was intended to revive the Barcelona Process that had begun in 1995.
